Balance Diet ( Importance in Daily life )

Balance diet becomes very essential in our stressful life to be healthy. Balance diet means getting the right type of food (A Healthy Diet) and amout of food and drinks to supply nutrition and enrgy for maintaing body cells, tisssues and organs to become healty fit body (It contains different Nutrients in the correct amounts keeping us healthy and fit.)
It is essential for normal growth and development of the body.
(If our bodies are human machines then food is our fuel.)
Eating properly and regularly is very important as it can effect our body, it is very important that we eat healthy as children as we are still growing and developing. A healthy diet is sometimes called a balanced diet.
It is important as it gives us the energy (where do we get energy from and what do we use it for ?)
Our energy is derived from food whereas plants can produce there own energy from sunlight and we must consume food for doing work and be healthy.
There are seven different nutrients these are :-

- Fats
- Minerals

Protein is essential for the growth and making new cells with also repaiing our bodies. The main sources of proteins are Fish, meat, eggs, dairy products etc.
Fats are important as these provide energy, as a store of energy and for isulation the main sources of fats are butter, oil, nuts etc.
Minerals are needed in very small amount to maintain health the main sources of minerals are salt, milk (calcium), liver (Iron).
Vitamins are very important to provide roughage to keep food passing through the gut.
& Water is needed by the cells and for body and the main sources are Fruite juice, milk fluids, water.
Fruits and vegetables plays very important role in the balanced diet as they gives us fibres and vitamins and minerals. (everyday we should eat at least 5 portion of fruits and vegetables. A portion is about handful.)
Dairy Products also important in balanced diet as these gives us protein and fats and also good source of calcium (calcium is very good for bones and teeths.) these products are made from milk usually cow's milk but can be from other animals like goat or sheep. These food includes cheese any hard soft or cottage, yogurt, foods high ion milks .
Sometimes foods are classifies as starch, sugars and fats. Starch icludes food like potatoes and provide mainly carbohydrate and carbohydrates gives us energy. Foods high in sugars include fruits and those containing refined/processed sugars such as sweet, chocolates, cakes etc . A small amout of fat is important for health, but eating too much fats is unhealthy due to it leads to clogged arteries (restricted blood supply.), High colesterol and becoming overweight.
Role of Vitamins and minerals in the balanced diet and health of our body :
vitamins and minerals are very important for out healthy body and in balanced diet. Our body needs all vitamins to be healthy. The most common vitamins are:
1. Vitamin A as it helps in maintaning eyesight the main sources of vitamin A are sweet, pottatoes, carrots.
2. Vitamin B as it helps body to make protein and protein is very essential for our body main sources green and leafy vegetables.
3. Vitamin C it healing skin and preventing colds main sources are citrus fruit, tomatoes.
4. Vitamin D helps strengthen bones main sources milk, sunlight.
5. Vitamin E strengthen cells main source are vegetable oils and nuts.
If we eat too little food, we will use up our store of fat and become too thin and if we eat too much foos especially foods rich in sugar and fats we will increase our store of fats and beecome too fat. So the balanced diet is very essential to become fit and healthy.
